Restaurants

Dragonfly (Truckee)

One of our all time favorites, Dragonfly, is a charming blend of modern asian cuisine. Located in historic downtown Truckee, this elegant restaurant has outdoor seating in the warmer seasons as well as a recently added sushi bar. They have a very unique style and tasteful wine list. Oh, and make reservations!

Sol y Lago (Tahoe City)

This South American tapas style restaurant overlooks Lake Tahoe from its lakeside deck. You'll find a relaxing atmosphere and a great cocktail menu here. Located inside a shopping center, it has great access to some after lunch shopping or swimming.

The Lodge (Truckee, 5 min. walk)

If you want an excellent dinner but don't want to get in your car and wander around Tahoe searching for a place...just walk down the road to The Lodge! It's just a 5 minute (more or less) walk and the food and atmosphere are excellent. If you're more interested in affordability than taste, however, I would avoid it (but at least check out their menu). But you could always go to the bar at The Lodge where they serve some good food and you might meet some interesting people.

Wild Cherries (Truckee)

Wild Cherries is our favorite place to eat breakfast out or grab a hot drink on a chilly day. It's great for if you want to get on the slopes early and grab a quick but healthy breakfast. Free trade organic coffee, bagels, wraps, real fruit smoothies, those vegan cookies that if you havn't tried them you have to because they're so good...it's also a good place to have a quick lunch.

Joe Coffee (Truckee)

Another great breakfast or lunch spot, Joe Coffee has excellent wraps, salads, smoothies, cookies, etc...organic ingredients too.
